| Eileen Ivers & Her Amazing Celtic Band: An Nollaig, An Irish Christmas
Dana Center - (Koonz Theatre)
Born and raised in the Bronx, the daughter of Irish immigrants,
steeped in Irish musical tradition from childhood, a multi-faceted and
internationally honored genius on the violin, Eileen Ivers has spent her
long and much-lauded career in re-inventing and re-invigorating Celtic
music in all its forms.
Hailed as one of the great innovators and
pioneers in both the Celtic and World Music genres, Ivers has won a
Grammy, been nominated for an Emmy, wrote the soundtrack for the
award-winning film Gangs Of New York, was an All-Ireland Fiddle Champion
nine times, helped found Cherish The Ladies, and has played variously
with The Chieftans, Sting, Patti Smith, Riverdance, the London Symphony
Orchestra, and Boston Pops, to name a few.
Her electrifying style and
reverence for her material are sure to dazzle and charm you and your
family in an evening of rare entertainment from an international
superstar. You won’t want to miss an opportunity to experience the
violin as you’ve never heard it before in this repertoire of Irish,
contemporary and Christmas favorites!

Cushing Center - (Campus Ministry)
Share the joy of the true meaning of Christmas by participating in Saint Anselm College’s Christmas Giving Tree Project for local children in need. Each year students, staff, and faculty participate in this campus-wide project that aims to give back to our surrounding community. The gifts donated are distributed by Catholic Charities to families in need throughout the Greater Manchester area. Christmas Trees with gift tags are located in the first floor of Alumni Hall, the entrance to the Abbey Church, and the Office of Campus Ministry (in Cushing).
Please return gifts to Campus Ministry by Tuesday, December 15 with gift tag attached.
Donors are encouraged to provide gifts other than gift cards.
