Event Description Language students will present research on cultural products all over the world. Whether the original research was carried out in English or another language, this forum allows students to present their findings in English to an interdisciplinary audience. Presentations include obsession and absurdity in Russian prose, comparisons of the representation of women in advertising under the Weimar Republic and in contemporary America, and discussions of Chilean and Dominican novels.
There will be three panels. Learn more about the student participants.
Panel I - Gender in Society and Literature, presenters include: Vallerie Stein '14, Nicolette Kafasis 13, and Neesha Martin '12.
Panel II - Political and Literary Rebellion, presenters include: Jessia Jacques '13, Allison McCarthy '12, and Allyn Doyle '13.
Panel III - Key Concepts in late 19th and early 20th Century Russian Prose, presenters include: Ishmael Johnson '13 and John Castellucci '12.
The conference is part of the S.O.A.R program, a series of events
showcasing the academic work, artwork, and research completed of Saint
Anselm students in all disciplines. |
